Things happen in life. People get sick or lose their jobs. Family circumstances change. We know how hard it is to give up a beloved dog that you can’t care for anymore.
Our volunteers are passionate Keeshond lovers! We promise to care for your dog in a comfortable home, as a member of our family. We’ll evaluate your dog very carefully, so we understand his or her needs.
Our adopters submit a detailed adoption application. We talk with them, visit their homes, and get to know them, too.
We do our best to make sure we match your dog with the best possible forever home, where his or her needs will be met, and the dog will be loved and happy.
After adoption, we stay in touch with the adopters and provide them with advice and support for the dog’s lifetime. You can email us at any time to find out how your dog is doing. We’ll be there for your dog for the rest of his or her life – if anything happens and the people can’t keep the dog, we’ll be there. Your Keeshond will always have a safe place to come home to.
How do I surrender my Keeshond?
We know this is hard for you, but the process is easy!
- Email or call us and let us know your dog needs a new home.
- If you can, send us good, recent photos of the dog.
- We’ll contact you to make arrangements for your dog.
- We understand that things can sometimes look desperate. Please don’t take your dog to an animal shelter! You will hear from us within hours!
